I read a lot about changing, becoming a better person, becoming a person befitting of the life you desire and the dream in your heart. I even once read a book in which stanley told john,"be yourself" and john replied," what if me is not good enough?" I saw so much sense in that at the time. If you weren't good enough, then change who you are.
Needless to say, my efforts to change failed woefully, time and time again. I felt like I was making progress at a snails speed, going two steps forward and one step backward. I felt like I just didn't have what it takes. In my despair, I stumbled upon the missing ingredient to lasting change in your life. It is acceptance.
Yes, acceptance. True change begins from accepting yourself fully, totally, strengths, faults and all. Change begins from being around people who accept you now as you are and always will, no matter what.
When you accept yourself, your love of yourself is not based on anything, it isn't conditional. This then springs up a sort of confidence that helps you face everything in your life objectively. Knowing that your value doesn't stem from your changing something or the other in your life. You are who you are, you are who God created you to be and you are fine and comfortable with being yourself.
Acceptance aids change. When you have the mindset that you don't have to be different to be special or appreciated, it removes all the pressure of change and then change truly begins to occur.
God didn't make a mistake creating you the way you are. You are special, loved and chosen even now. Accept yourself because God accepts you and keep away from people who do not accept you. Keep in mind though that constructive criticism doesn't mean you are not accepted so when keeping away, be careful the criteria's you use to judge who doesn't accept you. Remember also to always look into your mirror and remind yourself how you accept yourself, kiss yourself, hug yourself.

My New Liking for T-boys

T-boys ( short for tomboys) have recently begun to steal a portion of my heart! That rugged masculinity mixed intricately with femininity blends so well that I am amazed!! There is that sexiness and appeal to it all!
I for one love to go with the T-boy look on some occasions and I have met a lot of ladies who do that too, and yet, there are some ladies who adopt it as a constant look. I spoke to some of these ladies and it was interesting some of the answers I got!!
When I asked one constant T-boy why she was a T-boy, she answered me by asking me why I was a girly girl!! (Laughing) typical Nigerian, won't you say, answering questions with questions! Another T-boy in reply to the same question, told me she had tried several times to be a girly girl but that it was just too hard for her.
I am of the opinion however that everyone should be who they choose to be! The people they date and their families love them and I think they are sexy in their way too. What do you think??

Loving yourself

Hi darlings!! Its been such a long time! I really missed every single one of you! I even got a little confused of what I wanted the main content of this blog to be!
Today, we are a few days from entering the fifth month of the year! That's awesome but a lot of people havn't achieved even one single goal on their list. Some people feel depressed and unloved and unworthy and uncapable, if you're one of these people, I just wanna tell you that your love for yourself overshadows by far other peoples love for you put together!
In fact, when you love yourself, people tend to be attracted to you, and when people are drawn to you, opportunities are drawn to you, opportunities which may even eventually help you achieve your goals. Sure we've heard so much about the benefits of loving yourself and all that, but how do you love yourself? What's the practical way of loving yourself??
HOW TO LOVE YOURSELF
Loving yourself may just be that you take time to rest, that you don't walk about all stressed out with bags under your eyes.
Loving yourself is that you care enough about the sort of clothes that you adorn your skin with. That you care enough to ensure that their neat and sharp looking.
Loving yourself means that you look your best no matter what, not because of other people, but for you.
Loving yourself means that you constantly look for the humour in things around you, even work. It means that you don't starve the world of that sweet smile and laughter of yours.
Loving yourself means that you tell yourself several times a day, no matter how many times you remember that you love yourself. Loving yourself turns you into a lover of yourself.
Loving yourself means never being hard on yourself, but laughing at your mistakes and trying again. It means complimenting yourself for even little achievements.
Loving yourself means eating right, not starving yourself.
Loving yourself means so many things and I'm sure if you start practicing the few here, there will be a remarkable change in your life!!

Happy Mother's Day!

I've got the best mum in the world!! I never really gave this fact
much thought until today. After calling my mum and speaking to her, I
did a little task, I wrote out the things I love about my mum and
though its an endless list, this few stood out.
THINGS I LOVE ABOUT MY MUM
She's beautiful, very good looking. She's a great conversationalist.
She's very smart. She's a good illustrator. She's very funny. She
loves me. She's a strong woman. She's a fighter. She's always there
for me. No matter what, she makes sure that I have. In the end, she's
always got my back.
These are just few of the many reasons why I love my mum, not like I
need a reason to love her, she's loved no matter what.
I have a feeling you feel the same way too, so make your own list and
tell me about it.
And mom, incase you see this, you're the best mum in the world and I
really appreciate all you've done for me. I love you mum!

Hello darlings! How have you been all this while? I really missed you
all! I have a series of exams coming up soon so I won't be posting
regularly until May 2013 by His grace.
I'm writing today cause of a trend that concerns me, dolls. A lot of
darlings read my post but. Very few bother to comment, why? I was
wondering if its because you don't seem to understand the value of
commenting on a post.
Commenting on a post is really important, it doesn't necessarily
have to be lengthy, it could just be a thanks, or yes I agree. Your
comments give the author inspiration, to know that you are there, that
he or she isn't just writing to himself or herself but that people out
there are reading what is being written and either appreciating or
criticizing it.
A post is to be engaging, when you study it, a lot of ideas should
rattle in your brain, you might have questions, suggestions or
testimonies that you wish to share. Don't let the author feel he's on
an island in the middle of no where, let him know that you are there
with him.
And darlings, am not a guy.

Money Mindset

Hello darlings! Today I said something shocking. I blurted it out
before I began to think about the statement, I asked myself if that
was really my view about money. I was surprised about the subconcious
message my mind seemed to have about money.
What was this statement that got me thinking? I told a friend of
mine quite absent mindedly that and I quote," you don't cheat to make
money, you work hard to make money". It was shocking to me that I
associated making money with hardwork. It was distressing to know
because I don't want to work my ass out to make money and have no free
time to enjoy the money, but with a mindset like that, that is what I
would have been heading for if I hadn't discovered it now.
I am glad that I noticed this loophole in my mindset now, I have time
to work on changing it. Do me and yourself a favour this new month
darlings, be observant about your mindset, notice the areas where
you're deficient or not thinking in favour of your dreams and bright
future and work towards changing it.
Welcome to a new exciting month!! Write your goals, dream your dreams
and in the words of Brian Tracy, "do what you resolve to do". I

Really Enjoying Life!

Hello darlings!! I am back to myself! Laughing, dancing and sharing
out positive energy! It's interesting to note that people have been
even double in their favours to me. Just today morning, I have had
more advances than I care to note, and pleasant ones at that. That's
by the way, now, to our topic.
Recently, I was thinking about how I'd love to have a lot of money
and I imagined my dream car,(a red ferrari), and as I looked intently
at the picture of it in my phone, I imagined driving it, and since
mine is an open top ferarri, I felt the breeze blowing on me and I
started laughing and giggling excitedly and just then , it struck me.
Apart from my mom and maybe my man, who could I share this moment
with? This question, darlings, led me to a most profound discovery.
Money is important but you also need friends to help you enjoy the
money. People complete our happiness. They chat with us, make us
laugh, make us experience life in its awesome entirety!
Imagine going to the beach alone, you wouldn't have as much fun as
with friends! Imagine living in your mansion with no friends to visit
you and appreciate the beauty of it. Imagine driving your dream car
alone for the first time and no one there to share in your joy. Its a
lonly and depressing road. We all need love and friends. Actually,
friends help us understand love. We all need people, people like us
and people different than us.
So in a nutshell, what am saying is that in order to enjoy life,
really enjoy life, we need friends to share all our moments with,
friends to make memories with. The major bible commandment says, love
God, love yourself, and love people.
Till next time darlings, love people, make friends, reconnect with
lost friends. Money and success without friends to share in it is
depressing. Trust me, you don't want to be shopping for new clothes on
your own.

Hi darlings. You know one of those days when you drag yourself out of
bed? When you would rather be left to yourself? One of those days when
you won't mind sleeping all through, those days when everyone you know
or that knows you sucks? Those days when strangers would rather be
your best friends? Well, am having one of those days. I feel like
burying myself in a bowl of ice cream and eating it and eating it
until I can't move. I wish for so many things right now that if I tell
you about, would make me emit negative energy.
Just one of those days. My lazy day as bruno mars would say. Today I
don't feel like doing anything. My mind is even on autopilot for all
my tasks.
Any advice on how to get myself out of this mood? I'd appreciate it darlings.

The Seed Of Abundance

Hello darlings! I hope you had an incredible weekend. Well, I did! I
spent it with my girlfriends laughing and having a great time, sending
out positive waves! Today I want us to talk about the seed of
abundance. I have realized through a lot of research that one of the
major seeds that leads to abundance is, wait for it....., Giving! Yes,
that's the big seed. Giving is really important if we want abundance
and when I say giving, I am not just talking about giving money, there
are so many things we can give, like love to even people who seem
unlovable, friendship to not only the friendly, but also to the loner.
You can give encouragement, or even prayer. You can give your clothes
to the naked or to the orphans. There's so much you can give, so much,
and when I comes to giving, you hardly ever miss your blessings and
rewards except your giving was done with a motive. The universe
doesn't take lightly to manipulation, so its better you give because
you want to, not because you want something in return.
So today, give favour, fair judgement, smiles, joy and jokes, give
and it shall be given to you, good measure, pressed down, shaken
together shall men give unto you.
This is a great week, practice this and let the week become phenomenal.

Drawing Upon Inner Strenght

Hello darlings! I am always so excited to write you about the things I
discover that lead to the highest quality from yourself! This tips I
give you have been tested by many, not just many, but by me as well
and they have worked greatly, and so I know that if you not only read
my articles, but practice and apply them, they will work tremendously
for you and give you results that will totally blow your mind!
So Darlings, to todays topic. We all need strenght to achieve our
dreams, our goals, our heart desires. Sometimes, our mere strenght
isn't enough, we need to draw from a source beyond us, we need to draw
strenght from a higher power that dwells within us. For any of you
darlings who are conversant with the bible, it says that greater is he
who is in you, than he that is in the world. There's great power
within you, abundant resources of power, greater than anything you can
imagine.
And it's a good thing that we have this power within us because
getting to the top draws upon every element within you. It draws upon
all your powers, everything about you is tested. You can't do it on
your own, you need this strenght and there's one way to draw upon this
strenght, it is Meditation! Yes, that's the big secret of how to draw
upon inner strenght.
What is meditation? Meditation is the act of thinking deeply. It
often involves a measure of solitude, quietness, aloneness. It
requires focus, concentration. It is an avenue to connect with the
inner power within you. In meditation, you pick a topic and focus on
it for a while, short while at first and then long while eventually.
You could project into your future, like a day dream for hours! You
could focus on the end results of achieving your goals. Or on the
feeling of being high quality. Through meditation you can also find
out the things you're grateful for, the solutions to the challenges in
your life.
Great and many are the benefits of meditation, of drawing upon your
inner strenght.
Are you game? Then pick out 30minutes daily for starters and meditate.

The Indispensable Ingredient For Success

This ingredient is so indispensable and even makes our trip to success
a lot shorter than it would have been. It is an ingredient that is so
easy yet only a few people use it. I actually just started using it
and in this short time, a lot of wonders are manifesting for me!
What is this ingredient? Some of you may be wondering, and yes I
could drag on and on and on but I will tell you what it is. GRATITUDE!
Yes, that's the ingredient. It costs nothing to give out and it brings
into your life more than you ever imagined or thought of. Gratitude
has rubbed off more favour on people than even prayer for favour has.
We desire to do even more for the person who appreciates the little we
have done. And so does God!
Gratitude sometimes isn't the grovelling at the feet of a person,
but a simple thankyou that conveys all the emotion you feel in
appreciation! Gratitude is seen in the leap and hug and sometimes the
dumbfounded tears of joy! Gratitude is in the laughter and other
times, the quiet smile. Sometimes, gratitude is in the consistent and
frequent thankyou for the same thing or even many more! In a sentence
as simple as ,"I appreciate you." Gratitude lies in abundance.
You might have read thus far and say, "I have nothing to be grateful
for?". Well, you do! You have eyes to read this article, you have
access to a computer or mobile device that's connected to the
internet! A lot of people in impoverished countries do not even know
that such things exist! If you've got this access, then you sure have
clothes on your body, you have a place to stay! There's always so much
to be thankful for!
If you find it difficult being grateful to humans, why not start
being grateful to your creator? Thank Him everyday for the life and
strength He has given you. Thank Him for food and apetite, thank him
for ever functioning organ in your body, thank Him that you're in
school or that you have a job, thank Him for your friends and family,
thank Him for creating you! Thank Him over and over and over again for
this and much more.
And so in conclusion darlings, I'd like you to do a little exercise.
Take a clean sheet of paper and write thirty things you're grateful
for. Feel the gratitude and express it to your creator. Very simple
but with amazing powers if you stay consistent!

Different Is Beautiful

Hello darlings. I hope you've been loving yourself this week as we
spoke last time? I trust you have. Part of becoming high quality, is
embracing your uniqueness, your difference as an individual. As I sat
down at a central area today watching people come and go, I realized
how different we all are. Our fashion sense, our sense of humor, the
way we relate, and it reminded me of our uniqueness. Of the beauty of
our individuality. We don't have to blend in, there's nothing to blend
into anyway, because if we decide to blend, then we lose ourselves, we
adopt the qualities of another and are subjected to be photocopies all
our lives. We are each unique! Our difference makes the world a better
and more interesting place to be in, our difference makes room for
abundance in planet earth. We are magnificien beings, fireworks as
Katy Perry would say. We are superstars. We are all telling our
incredible stories, writing them in the stars. Our memoirs are
different, our experiences are not the same , our lives are elegant
despite our differences.
So you see darlings, you have just one obligation in life, and that
is to be yourself. To not deprive the world of your great personality
and your unique story / memoir. Being different is beautiful and
that's exactly what the creator intended, for you see the different
feather patterns on the bords and the various colours in the world! Be
unique, be yourself, be different because different is beautiful and
every high quality person knows that!

Hello darlings! Ever wanted to be high quality?? The one that has such
a presence? Ever wanted to enter a room and time freezes?? Ever wanted
to have so much attention without any concious action on your part??
Don't we all! I've got goodnews and bad news for you darling, sad news
is that I am not going to tell you how to get there in this article,
good news, great news is that if you follow this blog, you will
eventually find all the pieces to the puzzle and be all you want to be
and have!
In this article darling, I want to lay the foundation. The foundation
to being high quality is to love yourself, to be crazy about yourself,
to virtually adore yourself. Fall in love with your smile, with your
laugh, with your walk and your talk. Fall in love with your amazing
fashion sense, with your individuality. Kiss your image in the mirror
and adore the feeling that emerges from looking into your beautiful
eyes! Conceit? No. That is where self confidence stems out of. It
stems out from a love of who you are, of what you stand for, of your
individuality.
Self love leads to self confidence which is an indispensable
ingredient in becoming high quality!
So there darling! You have the foundation. I'd like you to work on it
this week, to fall in love with who you are, who you really are. You
could also affirm the writings on the picture daily or hourly as you
deem fit.
